For the Neue Züricher Zeitungthe oldest newspaper still published in Switzerland and one of the oldest in Europe, we carried out a comprehensive redesign of the NZZ store as part of a technical update to Shopware 6. A special feature of this project was the implementation of a dual pricing system that offers NZZ subscribers special prices, while regular shoppers see a standard price. The minimalist, bright and modern design was deliberately chosen to appeal to a broad audience while maintaining the NZZ's traditional brand identity. With this redesign, we have built a bridge between the newspaper's long-standing tradition and the modern requirements of online shopping.
